I see this fight happening in Floyd's last fight. This fight makes sense to happen at 155 with Martinez not being a full fledged middle-wt and Martinez is still the champion @154. Floyd is smart enough to come in at his best fighting weight. Forget delusional Manny. Someone needs to send him a memo and tell him he's not the man.

He can also fight Cotto (should he win) at 154 for another title at that weight class. Cotto is still a draw, I could see it doing more business than Mosley vs. Mayweather simply because Cotto has a bigger fan base. Doubt Top Rank would let Cotto participate if blood tests are involved though.

I'm not convinced Mayweather would want Martinez at 154 or 160. The guy has beaten up Williams, Cintron and Pavlik and those weights; 3 extremely good boxers.

My personal belief is that Martinez is one of the best fighters in the world today. I think that he'd be a real handful for Floyd and a lot bigger.

Right after the fight with Pavlik, I said Floyd vs Martinez should happen at 155...Martinez would have a very legitimate chance of winning...He has good angles, he's pretty quick and he gets away well...If Martinez can jab, he could be the one to beat mayweather.
