Why is it that everytime a top level fighter gets dominated by a superior fighter or gets knocked out , we start making suggestions that he should retire. This happens all the time: Mayweather/Gatti,Mayweather/Mosley,JMM/Casamayor,ODLH/Pac,Ricky Hatton/Pac, Winky Wright/PWill,Cotto/Margarito just to name a few. I know most of the fighters that I listed have not fought since those losses but alot of that is because of the demands for them to hang it up. Some went on to do good work in the ring after those losses.I think such talk deminishes the appreciation for the winning fighter. No one was calling for Mosley to retire after he drug Margarito in his prior outing, now all of a sudden he is a geriatric> I don't buy that. Give May his props.People we must remember one simple truth,(STYLES MAKE FIGHTS).
