in all of roach's interviews just b4 this fight he kept on saying tht mayweather looked terrible in training and tht the lay off was affecting him. do u think this made people think marquez could beat mayweather meaning people who normally wouldnt buy a floyd fight did to see him lose.

the funny thing was afta the fight roach was sayin in all his interviews tht floyd had never been out the gym in his retirement so he wasnt gonna lose his timing etc

what gave the sales an extra boost was Marquez being the #1 Mexican fighter in the world at the time and the only Mexican boxing star combined with the fight being rescheduled for Mexican independance day which also gave them more time to promote it.
