the sport was just fine when he went on vacation. if anything else, it improved a bit.

when floyd was gone, the sport didn't show any signs of diminishing in popularity.

again, boxing doesn't need floyd. if anything else, his PED bull**** hurt the sport.

who else would be the toughest and biggest fight for the filipino guy??
i guess that's my greatest concern.
coz that is the best for the sport. and the name floyd is included.

I really don't think anyone is not a true boxing fan just because they want Floyd but the sport does need him right now. Floyd's trash talking, brash nature, and undefeated excellence since 96' brings an intrigue to the sport and he's a lightning rod for spectators. People want to watch this guy because America loves to watch and be a part of excellence. If Mayweather did not come back I am positive that Pac-Cotto would not have done 1.25. His return has been a big part of a boost in the status of boxing right now and this fight will be another illustration of that.
      well said mate.

lets just hope it doesn't turn out to be another bore fest.

          for boxing's sake.

and floyd's "trash talking" is ******.

he always comes out as an insecure prick to me.

Yeah but it hypes the fight up and it brings fans out to see. You get hardcore fans to watch by whats done in the ring but the casual fans are influenced a lot by what goes on outside of the ring. I don't think it will be a borefest though shane is too good and has too much guts to just sit back and let floyd potshot him all day.

honestly, that's the only thing that people want from him. to fight pac. yet he didn't....

people were clamoring for the fight when manny was on his streak.

floyd came back, then suddenly got all concerned with PED's. he was trying to make a guy who has never had any history of even being affiliated with using PED'S take a test far stricter than the standard.

like him or hating, accusing pac of using PED's isn't good for the sport....

sorry, when he was gone, Boxing didn't suffer, quite the opposite.

Explain to me how it is that Boxing needs him.

yah i also believed those were all untrue, and its a real pretty "to-duck-looking-good thing".. but i still have my hopes though that they'll eventually meet.
their chances are bigger when floyd is around than when he's not.
shane would've fought nobody if floyd's not around at this point.
and look at this fight tonight, it attracts people around the globe like hell.
until the pac-may fight won't happen, i would always root for floyd's "0".
and support him for the sport. i would gladly support pac though, to do the honors.

what i mean is he helps boxing in his own way. things are great when he's gone, but still, things are better when he's around, coz he's one of the best.

                      and again...
