The world will never get Mayweather vs. Pacquiao, because both sides are far too entrenched in their negotiating positions; whereas if Mosley wins, Pac-Mosley will be very easy to make. So the opposite of what you claim should be true.

If Mosley wins twice or if he wins once and Floyd decides he isn't ready for an immediate rematch, Mosley will fight Pac. If Mayweather wins, Mayweather-Pac almost certainly won't happen ever.
