I'm rooting for Mosley just because he's more than willing to fight Pacquiao.

      that's all

Over the past 2-3 hours most of them have been absolutely pathetic, trying to **** on the fight for the sake of ****ting on Floyd, its like theres a law for them to be a fan of both fighters.

They keep saying "Shane is 38 and inactive Floyd should win" they are just trying to make ready made excuses to **** on Floyd, if he wins they can say "he was supposed to win, Shane was old and inactive" and if he loses they can say "ahaha! Floyd's a bum, he lost to an old inactive Shane!", its pathetic. They are just ****ting on the fight just for the sake of ****ting on Floyd.

They are contradicting themselves badly too, some of them are saying Floyd is supposed to win so he shouldn't get credit and if he loses he should retire, and then I see them saying that Shane is going to KHTFO... well which one is it? Cause if your saying Shane is going to KO Floyd then obviously Shane is a live opponent and isn't shot like they are saying he is, so Floyd shouldn't be so ashamed, so they've basically contradicted themselves into admitting that Shane is a live opponent.

Some of them are absolutely making me sick, they don't care for Boxing at all, they just care for Manny Pacquiao. They want Mosley to win so they can just **** on Floyd and say that he was never a match for Pacquiao, its as if they don't want to see Floyd fight him, its absolutely pathetic. I understand people wanting to see Shane win, but its the way they are doing it.

It basically just winds down to them only being a fan of one fighter and refusing to respect another fighter. This is the stans and not the fans by the way, and the Floyd stans are just as bad when the tables are turned.

It just makes me sick that these kinda people that call themselves Boxing fans are just trying to **** on a great fight for the sake of it, if Floyd wasn't fighting Shane tonight they would be saying hes ducking him, it just goes to show, they always put him in a no win situation.

I want floyd to lose because he won't make the pac fight. if he makes the pac fight then I'm all for him winnning, despite the fact that pac/mosley is a better action packed fight

I hope to see him win because Mosley winning would take away from a potential Mayweather-Pacquiao fight but I think that if Mayweather does lose, he might go on a tear like Ali did after losing to Frazier, fighting everybody in sight to prove himself great once again. In that case I wouldn't mind seeing him lose.

so what? here's the possible scenarios

                  1) mosley KO's floyd. if this happens then floyd might not even activate the rematch clause. if he does activate the rematch clause, chances are he loses again

                  2) mosley wins a decision. let's be serious, if floyd loses, he might be more willing to come to the negotiation table with pac with more reasonableness.

Shane is a great opponent, and hopefully it'll be a great fight. And Floyd deserves credit for taking the fight. But for someone to say that it's possible that Mosley's performance against Margarito may have been misleading, given that Marg can't possibly have been fully focussed for that fight, having just been caught trying to cheat; and given the style match-up (Mosley didn't look nearly as good in his previous two fights) isn't being a hater, it's just stating the obvious. In fact many Floyd fans stated the same thing after the Mosley-Marg fight. And saying there is a worry that at 39, and following a 15 month lay-off, Mosley might finally show his age, is also just stating the obvious.

If Shane really was rejuvenated in the Margarito fight, and back to close to his prime form, i.e. if that fight wasn't misleading, then the fight tonight will probably be the classic all real boxing fans are hoping for. But if Mosley performs like he did against Cotto then Mayweather will outbox him easily. That's not to deny that Mosley is by far the best opponent Floyd could have taken after the Pac fight fell through, nor is it to deny that it's potentially his toughest test since the first Castillo fight. He deserves all the credit in the world for taking the fight. But you can't get away from the fact that a 39 year old Mosley coming off a 15-month lay-off and with two so-so performances in his last three fights, is an unknown quantity tonight.

Sure Mayweather deserves huge credit for taking the fight, and if he wins in style, against a rejuvenated Mosley, he'll deserves huge credit for that as well; but just as maddening as the people who pretend that Floyd cherry picked Mosley are those who think that beating a 39 year old Mosley would prove that Floyd is greater than Sugar Ray Robinson (and some people have been making that claim). It's that sort of ridiculous claim that makes many fans go off in the opposite direction and unfairly rip him.

Also, Floyd fans who post things like the following make neutral fans less likely to be willing to give Floyd any credit if he wins:

easy fight for floyd... probably slightly harder than tune-up marquez
If the above is the case, Floyd wouldn't deserve any credit at all if he wins. Fans like mayweather777 do a great job of making sure neutral fans are unwilling to give any credit to Floyd, even when he really does deserve credit.

So does the TS. This whole thread is ******.
