At 38 years young, this is Shane's biggest fight. This will probably his last chance at the limelight.
Some of my greatest boxing memories involve Sugar Shane. I remember watching him for the first time against Phillip Holiday. For my sophmore speech class, our final project was to work in a group and record a news type broadcast. I was the sports guy, and I remember covering the Mosley vs. Holliday fight. Shane won his first world title then and I knew he was going to be something special.
For years, I been trying to get my friends into boxing. One of my close friends watched the Cotto vs. Mosley countdown and was stoked. He knew I was fan, and we decided to throw a party for that fight (our first fight party). I usually watched fights with my family, alone, or just one or two friends. But ever since the Cotto vs. Mosley fight, my friends have been hooked.
I know he has better things to do then troll boxing websites, but Shane, best of luck to. Thank you for everything you have given to your fans and the sport in general.
Guys like Shane and Nazeem make me proud to be a boxing fan. I have a great feeling just like before the Margarito fight. Now do us all a favor and knock Floyd's punk ass out!
