Jose Cotto's trainer(Joe Santiago) is an idiot for saying that his fighter(Cotto) is not gonna be a stepping stone for Alvarez...1st--> Cotto is fighting at his highest weight ever(149, 3 weight classes above his natural 135) in which case is an advantage for el Canelo(150) since this his natural weight, 2nd--> ad that El Canelo has an height & reach advantage..This fight is tailor made for Canelo to win & some what try to look impressive over a only once beaten & a 2 time title challenger(at lightweight, not jr middle)..Golden Boy really wanted to make sure El Canelo looks good in his first big card in the u.s....I'm not saying is Canelo's fault, the kid definitely has skills & he's just fighting who ever they put in front of him..If there's anybody to blame is Cotto & his crew for taking this fight...

Easy fight for Floyd, Shane's legs are shot. Hell he almost fell going up the stairs at the weigh in. Not surprising since he turns 39 in September and sounds about half punchy these days.
