Hozumi was robbed.

Well first off Cole is not a very good ref, but put yourself in his situation when he sees a guy with both hand down seeming out on his feet taking to 3 or 4 heavy shot.
Had Hozumi gone down maybe he could have reassessed the situation in regards to the time left in the round, however considering it happened all so fast and the state Hozumi looked in you can't really but to much blame on him.
He took literally 1 heavy punch. The uppercut. The rest were either grazing Hozumi or missing because Hozumi's head never moved violently after that uppercut.
He couldn't fall because his arm was stuck in the ropes.Comment

I hear ya.
People are literally accepting a fight stoppage with 1 second left. Can you imagine the outcry if ****ing Mayweather got a TKO victory over Mosley by doing the same exact thing that Montiel did to Hozumi?
It's rediculous. I don't mind my boy losing but 1 second left in a title fight? Have you seen Whitaker-Hurtado? That warrants a stoppage. What Montiel was doing to Hozumi does not warrant a stoppage.Comment

Peruse it when you got a chance.Comment

I don't care if Hozumi wasn't defending himself. One arm was hooked on the ropes and he wasn't even getting hit clean.
The first uppercut after Hozumi hit the ropes was the only clean punch in that whole flurry. After that uppercut, everything either grazed him or was a straight up miss.
How many punches is Montiel really gonna get off in 1 second? At the rate he was going, he would miss the only 2 that he could possibly throw in the second.
Hozumi was robbed of a great fight. You don't stop title fights with 1 second left. How do we know Hozumi wouldn't have made a comeback? What could have been a great fight, which could have went back and forth was abruptly stopped with 1 second left on the clock.
It's not even Hozumi losing that I make this thread. It's that the fight was stopped with literally 1 second left. What kinda bull**** is that?Comment

His arm was not stuck in ropes where it restricted him from falling or protecting himself, it was leaning against them.Comment

I have perfect hearing, literally perfect hearing. And you can't hear punches landing with that crowd noise. So what I was watching was Hozumi's body reaction.
If your getting hit hard, your head or upperbody is gonna be moving. Hozumi's head snapped back once with the uppercut and the rest of the punches were either grazing him or missing because Hozumi's head wasn't moving at all.Comment
