this law give the law the right to stop you and conduct a full search of your person and vehicle. all because appear to be of mexican desent. once you are pulled over the law has full power to act how they see fit. this is to make racial profile the normal in az. this will be nothing more than a witch hunt. i lived in az for a year, sure you have some illegals. but this is not the way to go about bringing change. where is the fairness to law abiding citizens that now can be pulled over for driving while mexican? cudos to the wbc for standing up for human decency.

LMFAO!, its a lot more complicated than that. Its easy to judge from the outside looking in. The majority of these people are hardworking families, they are left with no choice but to leave their country so that they can support their families. Put your self in their shoes, what would you do if your wife and kids were starving, the only way to survive is by traveling to America where they have jobs you can work to help support your family( and some families are less fortunate, they loose love ones on their way over to America, its always a risk, but for some its worth taking). I guess it doesn't matter to some people "as long it doesn't happen to me or my family", which is a shame. It has nothing to do with a "country takeover", like the media twists it. Ask any one of these immigrants, whats their sole purpose in coming to america?, 10 times out of then its because they come to work. Just like any nationality, there's always a few rotten apples for every barrel, and the media tends to generalize the majority of the hard working class with the minority of the lazy "gang" infested hoodlums. The real Mexicans are the hardworking people who you see working in the fields under the hot sun(even older people who are well over 50), the ones that work hard in school so they can one day give their kids what their parents could never give them, the ones who support their families the honest way. These are the real Mexican people.

I understand the frustration of the people who support Gov. Brewer and the new state law, but I find it hard to support a bill that establishes an anti-latino police state. To allow the police force to act without probable cause creates too many opportunities for abuse IMO. A significant portion of the citizenry of Arizona is hispanic.

Gov. Brewer is being smart though. Arizona and all of the border states have been dealing with a very difficult, resource draining problem for too long without adequate support from the federal government. This new legislation is just Arizona's way to force the federal government step up and take more responsibility for dealing with the immigration problem. As far as the WBC goes, I think this is just Sulaiman being Sulaiman. He fancies himself a real champion of civil liberties, I suppose. I don't think the WBC should have the right to tell their fighters where they can and cannot fight.

but these state have also enjoyed the damn near free labor they have been getting from these "seasonal workers". working in the hospital in az i did see some illegals receive care and did not attempt to pay the bill. but this is not the way to go. there PLENTY of good people that are going to get hurt by this misguided law. bet on it!!!!!!!

Really? Please cite where most pay taxes. I notice you dont include the word illegal, but rather just immigrants. We are talking about illegal immigrants. They do get free healthcare, what are you talking about, it is illegal for a hospital to turn someone away with a medical emergency. Illegals do not pay taxes, how can they? How can an illegal immigrant pay income tax if they dont have a SSN or an id. Now some you might say they have expired ones or paid for ones, ok, I will agree that occurs, most illegals though dont work, or they get paid under the table. This happens most often. The mexicans working at the construction site across the street, do you think the governments seeing a dime of their wage? no, of course not. They get paid 100 bucks a day. Now with that 100 bucks, they buy some weed, a happy meal, and send the rest back to Mexico. Where does the government get money in this situation? When you take money from an economy and send it out of the economy it is about the worst thing you can do to an economy. This is why recessions often come depressions, you know, people take their money and put it under their mattress instead of investing it or spending it. Economies slow down. This is even worse though because that money never comes out from under the mattress. Its gone.

They do not stimulate grown. When a company hires an illegal instead of paying an American a fair wage, they dont promote the illegal, the illegal doesnt enroll in college classes with that money, no, they buy weed and send the rest back home. They dont get promoted, they dont improve, they are stagnant and suck the life out of economies.

That's as racist as it gets. You probably didn't know that a good portion of ILLEGAL immigrants are also from El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras and many other parts from South America did you? Oh, that's right, you're too ignorant and racist to notice that so you call EVERY hispanic a Mexican, LOL.

i agree with the wbs for once. the law is a problem, people defending it will see eventually when the law is ruled unconstitutional because it definitely is. and btw, racial profiling is not legal. it happens, but it isnt legal.

that law needs to be stopped...if texas and california follows...it's curtains for a lot of money into these states...arizona is already feeling the backlash from this ****...cut it out or that place will turn into a real desert...

Police have the right to stop and question people and request they provide documentation to show they are not illegas. The law is obviously being targeted at mexicans.

If so, then what's wrong with this? I don't see descrimination if the police wanted to clean the state from illegal aliens...? Every state or country actually should have this obligation to ensures and clean up her populace from illegal stayers.
