Would Marquez Mayweather had done as well ppv if Marquez hadn't gone life or death with Manny twice?

If Marquez never fought Manny would Mayweather and Marquez still sold as many ppv....

Yes because Floyd is a big draw and they would have still said Marquez was the man who beat Barrera, Casamayor and Diaz at lightweight.

The whole hype of the fight was based on Floyd's return against a dangerous mexican opponent after an even more "dangerous" 2 year layoff. Mayweather was clearly the A-side of the fight and the promotion was based on Floyd's undefeated big mouth on the line.

But yes, if you meant that, the Pacquiao fights were what made Marquez a star and one of the most respected and relevant names now. That's why Amir Khans and Nate Campbell all want a shot at Marquez.
