Yeah, thats the scary thing about Ali. We never saw him in his prime. Thoses 3 years, he would of destroyed everyone.

Youre a joke,i guess he should of ignored all the blatant racism/discrimination going on?Im not saying ali was Malcom X,but well, you saw what happened to Malcom...Originally posted by as214I love how Muhammad Ali cursed America and refused to fight for AMerica.. Yet it's funny because he had no problem profiting off of Americas capitalistic system!!Comment

thats too funny. imo i think ali would have won had they faught in thier primes. ali was very elusive and had the speed and reach advantage. ali was able to adjust and would have found his way around the ring with tyson. i can't say i really blame ali for not going to nam. that was a ****** war. i'm not saying we shouldn't have been there, i'm saying the way we went about it was all wrong.Comment

it was sad to see him like that you know, that parkinsons really got to him but i think he still got that old wits he used to have, i saw him with mike tyson while mike's preparing in his locker and look at how he was making face in the background, i can't help laughing (same old ali)Comment

That was some bull****Originally posted by steelheadi don't think ali was overrated but i got to tell you's. i was in 5th grade and was spending a weekend with my grandfather in los angeles. we watched the clay/liston fight with my grandpas friend( a decade later i read this guy was connected). when liston got knocked down by clay my granpas' friend said in siciliano "its true they got to him". i must say me being a kid and how difficult it can be with interpeting sicilian slang dialect, i could be wrong in interpeting, but i'm pretty sure. but years later in the '70s i seen that fight again(remember there was no vcr or dvd recordings)...on tv and my second look at ali's punch appeared as a phantom punch.i could be wrong.
but when ali out pyched the monster foreman i had to hand it to him. and ali was great enough to survive the long layoff that was imposed on him by the fckng government over the vietnam era draft. he would have been greater if his boxing carreer wasn't interupted.
you young guys may not no this. but in the sixties the okie fay cornpones who hated blacks, mexicans, italians, and ***s hated the, what they considered the uppity, lowdmouth unamerican, draftdodging negroe cassius clay....no foolin
Ali was in his PRIME when they took him to jail, how sad...
Either way his the most known boxer out there so it's all good, but it leaves many fans in question of if he can beat Joe Louis or not...
That is maybe the 1 fight that would answer the main question in HW history...Comment
