Pacquio vs two big names cotto and de la hoya both did 1.25 buys which is amazing..But if mayweather vs mosley does beyond expectations and gets in the 1.5 range or higher does he deserve more of the split when he fights pacquio? Even though mayweather drew more against common oppoents with buys I still think it should be a 50 50 split. But I'm afraid. That mayweather will ask for larger pot and fight won't happen.
if mayweather vs mosley does 1.5 buys are up does he get leverage vs pacquio

Not really. Even if it does all that it still wont make floyd #1 p4p unless he fights pacquiao or pacquiao loses to someone else.
from a business perspective I think it'd be real interesting to see the fight fall through again and see who turns up with the bigger ppv numbers when they're both fighting unknowns. Because at this point there really is noone else at welterweight left besides the 2 of them. -
I agree. Berto, bradley, margriato all great but won't draw insane numbers. There are two options for each fight each other or move up and fight williams or martinez. I don't know any other fights where the casual fan will buy the ppv.Comment

The way I see it, negotiations will take foreeever to reach an agreement or the fight will never happen.Comment

Even fighting williams or martinez the casual fan wont bite because neither have ever been on ppv. But i've always thought Pacquiao has the bigger margin of slack when it comes to other fights because at this point in his career he really cant miss while Mayweather doesnt really have much wiggle room.
Pacquiao fighting Berto for the undisputed welterweight championship solidifies his legacy and p4p status even further. Pacquiao moving up yet another division and breaking his own record for championships solidifies his legacy and p4p status even further.
Meanwhile Floyd has already had a belt at 154. He'd simply be living up to expectations as opposed to attempting to accomplish something extraordinary.Comment
