  • Well, looks like the chances of this fight happening are slim and none.

He said the same thing about Cotto and we all know how that fight turned out.

That ship has sailed and if Pac is supremely confident in his abilites (and I believe he is extremely confident of his ability to beat floyd) he should (in my opinion) agree to what ever it takes to make the fight happen (just like Floyd did when he fought Oscar.... giving up all negotiating points just to get Oscar in the ring).

If he does and wins.... he will have the last laugh and shut Mayweather for good!

"Manny Pacquiao, easy work, easy fight, probably easier than the Marquez fight".

If anyone, at any point was extremely confident about victory over the other,

      it was Floyd.

Something scared the **** out of him though, enough to conjure up a brilliant excuse to not fight the guy.

      That something,

      was the Cotto fight.

      • Ok who the F**** gives a **** about PPV's anyways it's not we get money!!! And why is floyds gota this horse **** up again he knows he can draw in a big fight so can PAC!! PAC did more in the cotto fight in PPV's more than floyd v marquez...and floyds gona do more than PAC cuz he's fighting shane and shane a way bigger star than clottey not even close clottey is..so depending on what floyds and PAC's opponents r they have a bigger draw but still PAC's fan base way bigger than floyds...even in the oscar fight it's was mostly a Hispanic crowd..hatton all British fans..marquez Hispanic crowd again..floyds very smart the way he makes money gets the biggest draws as much as possible..very smart..

          his fail 700k proved that

Floyd went from 2.4 to 850k.

How do you lose over a million fans if you're a huge, cash cow, mega star draw?

Especially in a fight against another undefeated fighter?

          • so you actually believe that Manny Pacquiao is the same fighter today as his last fight with Marquez...you better youtube the Cotto fight and some of the 2 minutes of the Hatton fight.....

back then Manny relied on his heart and stamina...he got hit alot.
Now, he uses heart, stamina, an added right hand, stronger punches, and more boxing skill...

            • Can Mayweather get 700K PPV if he fought an unknown like clottey.....this Saturdays fight is going to bring alot of PPV because this is going to be a good fight...Mosley the best probability to beat Mayweather....so there will be alot of PPV buys not because they all love Mayweather...but because they hate Mayweather and want to see him get knocked out...then theres the Mayweather fans...and of course the real boxing fans....

I am a Pac fan, obvious because I am a filipino (national pride) and because Manny Pacquaio has proven himself...yes, i do wish he would've just said "test me" and just fought...for that amount of money and after devastatingly beaten Cotto, which gives him a sense of ego boost, that something stronger had to hold him strong to not agreeing with the fight. Maybe it was a lot of influence in Roach's part or Arum.

I am Floyd fan as well...he is a great fighter...from what I have seen...the problem is that I haven't seen him fight the best. This fight against Mosley will be a good test for him. If he gets by Mosley..(unfortunately I don't think he will)...his ego will definitely ruin a possible fight with Manny Pacquiao...he will demand more than what is fair ... i say 50/50 purse ...if he wants 60/40 drop the OST demands (its a business right, all about money...plus he believes hes the better fighter than Manny and that this will be an easy fight).

              • hey fraud...go fight in japan and see if you can draw the same kind of numbers that pac is doing in the US...i garantee fraud wont put half the numbers that pac put up in the US...pac is basically a foreigner fighting in the US...so let fraud be a foreigner in japan and lets see if he still can put up what he calls his average PPV numbers of 1.3mil.

After he stunk out the joint against ODLH, I said I will never pay to see Floyd unless he fights Pacman, Mosley or Pwill. Well, he got totally lucky that the Mosley vs Berto fight fell apart so I will buy this one. And if he forgot, I'll remind him that Gatti, ODLH and Hatton carried those PPV because they were big names. For this fight, Mosley is bringing my money, not Mayweather.
WOW. Never thought I would read that.

                  • PPV numbers dont mean this fighter is a bigger attraction or not...i mean, if you wanna compare fraud to another boxer, compare him to another US boxer, not a foreigner fighting in the US.

and ofcourse the fraud/mosley fight should generate more PPV numbers than the pac/clottey fight because you have 2 american fighters fighting on their own soil, whereas the pac/clottey fight were two foreigners fighting in the US....if you cant see this point, you are ignorant and clueless.

i bet the pac/clottey fight would do better than fraud/mosley in china or japan...catch my point?

Sigh... I thought this topic was dead but if more people watch you then you are the biggest attraction... PERIOD. People keep bringing up that they're American so its not a fair comparison but the fight will happen in America. This **** doesn't matter it was just a funny little jab at Pac but the guy who is bringing the most intrigue and money to the fight gets the biggest purse. Thats how its always works. Somebody also said I bet floyd wouldn't do that much against a nobody but why are you fighting nobodies when you are the man and there are top fighters out there. It's not like Clottey had done something to earn a shot at the best he was coming off a loss in a fight he really should have won btw. Perhaps Pac should not have been in such a rush to fight a no-name when he signed to fight Clottey two days after negotiations.
