in the last round hen pac dinged morales if he was wearing hi cleto reyes he would have got knocked out. gloves were a big facter. pac had his gloves he would have kod morales.

Pac was a 6-5 betting favorite against Morales in the first fight. Which is just about as close to even as you can get, and would indicate that an overwhelming majority of the betting public thought Eric was nowhere near "shot."
