And why would that be a hard thing to believe? People that work at fast-food places can't even do their job correctly, so what makes you think the commission knows how to do their jobs correctly? Even HBO/Showtime/Espn announcers point fingers at the commission saying they suck at their jobs!

To be honest with you no one knows exactly when Margorito started using it but there is no way in hell he just suddenly out of the blue decided to use it for Shane and not for Cotto. It could be a situation where the commission just wasn't checking the wraps like they were supposed to and took it for granted if it wasn't a blatant infraction on the wraps. They did sign off on one of his wraps for the Mosley fight and it was Naz who caught the infraction and not them so i seriously doubt it was the first time that this happened.

And, why couldn't Margarito used it for the first time against Shane? In between the Cotto and Shane fight. Margarito weight the highest he has ever weight in his fight. And, he was getting whooped in training camp, they cheap ass scale that ****ed up their weight and made him lose pounds that he did not need to lose a day prior of the event. Maybe, just maybe Capetillo didn't feel confident anymore and decided to use illegal wraps...

Every state is different but that doesn't mean the quality control is different. The thing is when you get comfortable doing a job and nothing bad happens you tend to relax e.g a cop on a post where no crime happens for months will tend to relax and take it for granted until a crime does happen while he's on that post to make him alert and thorough again.

The commission and Cotto's uncle who was his trainer are to be blamed for not thoroughly checking the wraps. One of the reasons that Cotto's relationship was ruined with his Uncle is because his Uncle was too busy with another fighter to check the wraps on that night. Remember this isn't the first time that Naz picked up on something like this, he did it with Tito when he was going to fight B-Hop so Naz goes into the fights looking for something where as other trainers might not so much. I bet you now every commission and trainer is on alert and looking out for that. How long will it last for before all parties become relaxed and nonchalant about it again, who knows depends on the trainer.

There is no way in hell this was the first time Margorito used it because for 1) The Cotto fight was the biggest of his career why would he not use it in his biggest fight of his career where he is the challenger and trying to take the belt away from the champ who was undefeated but out of the blue decided to use it against Mosley a challenger who wasn't looking impressive in his previous fight and was coming off a lost to the champion?

2) The evidence is there in Cotto's face man lets be serious. You are a logical person, sure they didn't catch him with the gun doesn't mean he didn't shoot it. From rounds 9-11 the damage that took place after those things hardened should be proof enough. The manner and body language of Cotto in which he was cringing, bleeding and folding. Not to mention he said he felt like he was hit with bricks. At the time i was rooting for Margorito and all but after looking over everything the evidence is there.

People who get caught cheating always claim that the time you caught them is the first time they cheated, stole, robbed etc.

Not guilty doesn't mean that you're innocent.

There was a picture of Margarito, which came off of HBO's site, celebrating after the Cotto victory. His handwraps were cut with blood on them, with an object appearing "broken" inside.

If Nazeem didn't catch Tony, Mosley still would have whipped his ass. Look at the facial expression and eyes on Margarito during the interview. That was a look of guilt, not disappointment from losing.

I know calling Margarito a career cheater is purely circumstantial since he hasnever been caught trying to cheat in another fight. But getting caught in just one fight is attempted assault.

And of course the NSAC will claim they didn't find anything in the Cotto fight. What are they supposed to say? "We didn't find anything because we didn't look" or "yeah, we found bricks in Margarito's wraps, but Cotto is a better fighter, so the fight should be even now?"
