What he is thinking is obvious...."Padding my record."

He's thinking he wants to stay busy?

He just fought at the end of April and now he's fighting again in June.

      Nothing wrong with staying busy.

At this rate he could fight twice more this year.

other top HWs seem to be busy...so I guess he just wants to keep busy until a Byrd, Toney, Vitali, Rahman, Barrett, or whoever opens up

Byrd and Toney are definately not busy, especially Byrd.

Craven was also crushed by the current shell of a shell of Rid**** Bowe.

There are plenty of fighters out there for Brock at the moment

          Samil Sam
          Ruiz
          Maskaev
          Peter
          Beck
          Williamson
          Valuev
          Wlad Klitschko
          Byrd

Those are all available heavyweights, while it isnt necessarily a good thing to pit prospect against prospect they should be doing this.

I think the fight will be televised on the PPV card.

He should look very good versus someone with 15 losses all by KO

It's his first national TV that a lot of people actually watch. ESPN2 is one thing. This is HBO; he looks good and he makes a name for himself.

Sam Peter's going the same route right now. There are so many so-so heavyweights and has-been heavyweights. Staying undefeated will set them apart until they become mandatories - which with 4 champs, won't be too long...

Larry Merchant will see to it that this fight doesn't make the televised undercard...

How will they spin all those KO losses for Craven? How could they not mention Butterbean? It's just too much potential for unintentional comedy for them to risk it.

What? He should be ranked alredy! All I did was have a conversation about boxing at work today and I get a call that I'm ranked 12th by the IBF and 9th by the WBA.

brock is 30 years old. hes 25-0 with 20 KOs. at the age of 30, now is NOT the time to be keeping busy. now is the time for him to make a name for himself, face a contender, face a champion, make a payday, dont go for a pushover.
