Under the Radar Tarver Johnson II

This all coming from a big Roy Jones fan, I dont really care who wins this fight but I really am looking foward to watching it. Part of big summer of boxing, this could be the best fight of the summer. Their first fight was outstanding and it could have gone either way most people felt. Both Johnson and Tarver have trained really hard for this one and it should be another classic. I cant really pick a winner clearly but Im working on it, Im going with Tarver by late KO right now but that could change. Whatever the outcome may be it should be a really good fight. Its just a shame its under the radar because of all of the other big fights and Gatti Mayweather being a ppv card.

What does everyone think of this weeks fight?

    * But dont forget, Tarver is notorius for losing a contreversial first fight and coming back with an early KO the 2nd time around. Will it happen with Johnson?

I am pulling for Johnson, Tarver was mad ****y in that first fight.I hope Johnson knocks him out.I am guessing Ice T will be in Johnson's corner again.

HBO seems to favor Tarver, with the bias commentary in the last fight, and even having him be the coverboy of the HBO Boxing website. If Tarver wins,it's gonna be by a bull**** Controversial decision.

Johnson will apply too much pressure, and at his age,Tarver will be less willing to take the pressure.I say his corner stops it sometime after nine rounds. Johnson late round TKO

Tarver is the only rather mouthy fighter I like. Maybe it's because he sounds somewhat educated and doesn't sound like a blabbering idiot. He never really insults his opponents by degrading them, but he acts super confident which is a good trait to have as a fighter.

To the contrary, Johnson is normally the kind of fighter I love. Over achiever, super busy, entertaining....but for some reason I don't like him.

I think Tarver will be more active in this fight and win by UD or stoppage after 9. One thing is for sure, this one will be entertaining. We may see #3 by end of the year. Not many others for them to fight in that division.

I am very much looking forward to this fight. I think both guys have trained hard and really want this one. I'll go with Tarver by way of knock out in the 8th round. The second time just seems to be the charm for him.

I thought Tarver won the first fight..I hope Johnson wins this one but I think Tarver is a more talented fighter...just depends on how much work Tarver decides to do..he took a few too many rounds off last time, especially with Johnson's work rate.

I can't wait to see this fight - should be great...

I don't like atheletes who run their mouths all the time - just something that gets on my nerves, personally - but nevertheless I'm gonna predict a very close Antonio Tarver win for this one (which would have the nice effect of setting up the possibility of a Johnson / Tarver trilogy).

I would rather see Johnson-Hopkins than a third fight with Tarver....the first fight was ok but nothing really spectacular

If that is a possibility then I'd definitely rather see that! But realistically, is that ever going to happen, especially since the boxing world these days seems structured so that the best fights never happen lol...
