Mosley beating Floyd isn't just... does he have the skills..

I just think Mosley will have to be focused and disciplined to make this a close fight.

Hmmmm, I don't know. I think one of the intangibles in this fight is that Mosley is indeed there the entire fight. It's really about who's going to set the pace IMO. I think in order for Floyd to really get off he needs distance, and I'm not too sure if Mosley is going to allow Floyd the ability to counter him consistently. I think Floyd will def land straight rights and move out of the way, But I don't think Floyd can do that for 12 rounds with the style Mosley is bringing. Guys like Hatton & De La Hoya tried being aggressive, but with no real game plan of attack.

One thing I notice with Floyd is that when he does get hit, he doesn't show at all that he's hurt by any means, but you can tell he gets a lot more cautious which may or may not work into his favor come Saturday.

Well, he will give a little smirk.. which often an indication you landed a good shot.

I think Floyd CAN land straight shots and move out of the way for 12 rounds... which is also one of the biggest differences in this fight.

Shane flicks his jab unstead of rotating his arm and putting some power behind it.

What will probably happen in this fight REPETATIVELY is Shane not being able to do anything in the middle of the ring, getting frustrated and lunging in every now and then, get some body shots in and get the crowd excited before smothering himself in close. Similar to what Oscar did.

Unless he completely suprises me, gets on his toes and make Floyd come to him as a gameplan, which I doubt.

And, even if he does that... how long can he do it for?

Shanes inability to throw combinations is whats going to lose him the fight. If he could go in there and throw punches like he did at 135 hed have a chance of catching Floyd and hurting him. Loading up on his hooks isnt going to work against Floyd and he'll find himself missing a lot. Being bigger and having more muscle could have lead to him having less stamina which makes him unable to throw those combinations.

Shane throws combos at 147, he didn't at 154. Floyd throws very few combos now actually.

shane isnt the one who needs to worry about combinations,how many number of punches or combinations a round or even during a whole fight does floyd throw?

hes gonna need to do combinations to keep mosley off him,and if he does open up to keep Shane away he exsposes himself to taking shots in return.

im sure shane will look even better in this fight than the last one.

he has the reach to control the range he keeps floyd in,he has enough speed to bother floyd and connect with enough ease,he has power to keep floyd afriad to open up and do more than just jab and pot shot.

People are presuming that shane mosley is slower,with no defence,wont be able to box and and wont be able to throw effective combinations.

i just dont believe that shane will turn old,not land combinations,not be good at avoiding most punches and countering effectively.

i do believe shane mosley will use a strong fast jab, get off first, control the range,mix up his attack,make floyd feel his power and think twice about opening up and trying to really land on shane.
