Who has Floyd ducked.... I mean really??

A segment of the boxing public (how big a segment is unknown....) have labled Mayweather a "ducker" for not making fights the public wants to see, choosing instead to take fights that give him the best payday for the least amount of risk.

I dont disagree that there are many fights that I would have liked to see Mayweather fight... but just because the public appears to be saying that it wants a particular fight doesn't mean its a worthy match up.

Here are fights that Mayweather could have made (that I personally wanted to see at the time they would have been available...)

130 - Acelino Fretis and Joel Cassamayor (both were undefeated at the time and held titles)
135 - none as castillo was the man
140 - Kosta Tszyu (who chose to retire after loss to Hatton.. cant be considered a Floyd duck.... still would have been an interesting matchup)
147 - Cotto, Margarito, Williams, and of course Pac.

Floyd choosing not to push for those fights was a frustrating time for boxing fans who like to see a fighter clean out a division before moving on. Knowing what we do now.... you would have a difficult time finding anyone that knows their boxing, who would say Floyd avoided fighting any of the above...... none of the fighters would have derailed the career of Floyd Mayweather... not Cotto, not Margarito (Williams and Pac are still fights that can be made so you don't really have an agrugment that Floyd has ducked those two).

Public opinion is a funny thing.... remember it was public opinion that was responsible for supporting the largest paid gate in boxing history and 700k ppv buys in the stinker of a fight between Pac and Clotty..... public opinion said Pac was taking on too much in choosing to fight DLH or Cotto.....so public opinion about a fight or what fighter is ducking who means nothing.

So I ask you...... really....... Is Floyd really ducking fighters? Unless I missed someone on the list above (which is possible).... tell me who has floyd really ducked?

Seems to me you would have a better case to agrue about Floyd ducking fighters if Freddie Roach, when presented with the opportunity, had just agreed to allow Pac to fight Mosley. If the stories are correct Freddie told Shane that ...... well boxing fan....... you already know why Pac isnt fighting Shane...... Seems Pac is ducking Mosley..... doesn't it....... but lets be careful to not judge too quickly because only time will reveal who is ducking who.

Delahoya 2 would have been another huge payday.

imo,he should have fought cotto and margarito after hatton then retired, other than that i don't think he ducked anyone some fights didn't get made that's not his fault.

Wrong Aceline Fretas and Cassamayor never called Floyd out so how is that a duck? But Floyd calle dout the winner of their fight which was Acelino Freitas and he never answered.

And Floyd did not duck Marg, Cotto nor Pac.Pac did not want to take a random non-cutoff date test cause he`s on roids and Floyd would have fought Cotto and MArgarito If Arum would have guaranteed 20 mil for Delahoya 10 mill for Cotto and 10 mil for Hatton which is what Floyd asked for.

And plus Cotto never called out Floyd so that can`t be considered a duck.

Now lets talk about how Pacquiao ducked Mosley,Nate Campbell and Zahir Raheem.

and *****s should stop w/ that 'jmm is a tuneup fight' ****. floyd says all other WWs are easy fights, so why not choose among them for tuneups lol.

Ok... I'll play along... today April 28 Floyd has yet to fight a legitimate WW (I guess fighting DLH at 154 doesn't count as a legitimate fight).

What will be your argument if Sunday rolls around and Mayweather has booked a victory against the guy Roach said he wouldn't let Pac fight?
