Albert Sosnowski had a bad night in New York against Zuri Lawrence, but lets not forget Lawrence also defeated Jameel McCline a few years ago when Jameel was still a decent fighter.

None of the five fighters are "cans" really. Sosnowski is the polar opposite of Kevin Johnson, he's aggressive and will do all he can to win the fight. It will be entertaining while it lasts.

But too bad Alexander Dimitrenko didn't have a warm-up after Chambers, he would have been a better opponent because he's the same size as Vitali.
Peter looked shot to death, his performance against Maskaev was HORRIBLE. Vitali fought the shadow of a once good contender.

Gomez, mandatory or not, was just a blown up CW who had no chance.

Arreola was a hyped up fat slob good for nothing.

Johnson was an untested, one handed fighter who went there to get a pay cheque.

Fighting undefeated (american) fighters is no good if you're fighting bums with padded records. Ruiz would have been a better challenge to Vitali than all his last 4 opponents, and even better than Sosnowski propably.

And Albert has never fought McCline, Arreola did. Get your facts straight.

And I hope to never see Kevin Johnson in a boxing ring again.
      I agree. Co-sign.

You are right, it's much better to watch out of shape, fat, unskilled, sloppy and slow HW who just don't give a **** than to watch lighter fighters skilled, hungry and in top shape. It does make sense after all.

I think it's worth betting a small amount of money against Klitschko in these fights. Obviously not because he'll be beaten properly, but because he could very likely get injured again.

          Only a small amount though!

I have my facts straight. Your reading comprehension is poor. Are you a bit ******ed?

I said Zuri Lawrence defeated Jameel McCline a few years ago, when McCline was stil a decent heavyweight.

I've just checked some of the odds, and they're not as big as I thought they'd be. Maybe it is due to Klitschko's risk of getting injured again, like I said.

I just misread, maybe read too fast. Careful with the ******ed stuff, I am not the one who thinks Vitali has been fighting good opposition lately.

Lawrence is a bum who has never ko'ed anyone in his entire career. P4P, this man is a lighter puncher than Paulie Malignaggi for Christ's sake, and he thoroughly beat Albert. And it happened recently in his career too...

3 of those four opponents were ranked by Ring Magazine top 10. Please show me a fighter not named Klitschko in any weight division that has done that coming off a retirement. Vitali is a credit to the sport, deal with it. He fights often and against the best oppostion AVAILABLE.

It's not quite as dire as you make it out to be, but it obviously isn't
the 1970s. I think Adamek's entry into HW contender status is a
good thing, Haye is interesting but still has a lot to prove, and
younger guys like Boytsov give some hope for the future. The
Klitschkos basically have a Rocky Marciano-type problem, in that
there aren't all that many guys around truly ready to take them
on. But things can always change, and I ain't giving up on the
heavyweight division. I'm not telling anyone else what to watch,
just stating a personal preference. I'll be watching Shane vs Floyd
like everyone else, of course -- ditto the Super Six.

Zuri Lawrence is actually a clever, technically skilled, seasoned boxer. He's been in with many good heavyweights. The fight with Sosnowski should have been a draw, I remember watching it live and posting in a round-by-round thread here at boxingscene. I said during the fight the New York judges wouldn't be fair to Sosnowski, and sure enough they were not.

You have repeatedly make a fool of yourself with your irrational hatred for Vitali.
