"One of the main reasons that Mayweather-De La Hoya did a million buys more than De La Hoya's second-biggest fight ever was because of the buys that came out of the large urban centers of America," Taffet said. "Mayweather-Mosley is a classic showdown between two American superstars who collectively have appeared nearly 50 times on HBO during the past 15 years. American fans know these two men well. And they've been anticipating this matchup."

I think well see about 2 mill, yall gotta remember the buzz blew up to the general public within the last week of Mayweather/Marquez. I think on Friday-Saturday we wont be able to escape main stream media talking about the fight.

It is not breaking the record because it doesn't have the same buzz but it is getting major buzz. People also underestimate Floyds drawing power. Fight will do over 1.5million and probably could top 1.8 or so. I would be very surprised if it went over 2 million but you never know, it just may.

So, you're saying that a million more Mexicans bought Oscar-Mayweather than Undefeated Oscar vs Undefeated Trinidad?

I'm sorry. That's tough for me to get my hands around.

If you'd wipe the jizz out your eyes, you'd see that he was being sarcastic. Xcaret is a well known *****.

I got non-boxing fans by the bunches asking me when Floyd is fighting and they gonna see him, even kids. I guess showing up in dancing with the stars and the Wrestling gig has paid dividends. I would predict 1.8-2 million cause it has more buzz to the non boxing fans that are willing to pay to see it.

Mayweather will break "his own record" lol

I think that record was a team effort

I'll be shocked if this PPV gets over two million. No Hispanic fighter in the main event means limited appeal. And these guys ain't Ali and Frazier either.
