It just hit me! AA vs Froch will be a doubleheader in California.

    I just realized something.

The proposed Vic Darchinyan vs Nonito Donaire rematch is scheduled for August 21. By the looks of it this will probably go ahead as planned.

Arthur Abraham and Carl Froch will be meeting on the same date.

Darchinyan was already supposed to be fighting on the undercard of the AA - Dirrell fight in California back in March, until that bout was moved to Detroit. Well, Vic still fought on that night and won.

Now is another chance to put these popular Armenian fighters on the same night. California makes the most sense. With its large Armenian population, it is the only place in the US that can guarantee good attendance. Heck, even Vegas is not too far off and will attract some boxing fans in town.

And with all this talk of picking a neutral country for the Super Six fight, this also solves the problem of home advantage. Although Froch will undoubtedly be short on fans while Arthur will feel like fighting at home, this should not be as big a deal as fighting in Germany which Carl wants to avoid like the plague.

Another point to make is that Darchinyan's promoter is Gary Shaw, who is a big part of the Super Six. He'll undoubtedly want to get in on the AA Froch action as well.

    What do you think?

      That's an interesting one.

Arthur could probably get 14,000+ fans if they were fighting in a big enough arena in Germany though. I'm not sure how many Froch could draw in Nottingham. Either way, I think the fight makes more money if it's in Nottingham or somewhere in Germany, probably Berlin.

For that reason, I think the fight will probably not take place in America.

It usually all comes down to what makes the most money.

That's the thing. California is the third place after Germany and England (both of which are problematic), where the fight will make money. Of course, less than in Berlin, but still a decent chunk.

I read the fight HAS to be in Europeon territory and will probably be in a place with best commercial potential(money). So if its Germany its Germany but i hope its a Neutral site because home town give big advantages
