Kevin Iole: "It is NOT fair to say the Floyd hasn't faced an elite WW before"

"Mayweather has fought 15 of his 40 bouts against men who at one point in their careers held a world title. That’s 37.5 percent of his opposition, compared to 0 percent for Brunson. And it’s not fair to say he hasn’t faced an elite welterweight before. Zab Judah was considered elite when they fought, though Judah was coming off an upset loss to Carlos Baldomir. Mayweather Promotions CEO Leonard Ellerbe will tell you how strenuously I argued with him about taking the Judah fight in 2006, not thinking Judah deserved the match after coming off a loss, but the fact remains that Judah in 2006 still was considered an elite welterweight. Mayweather is getting penalized for not having fought some of the other top guys now, though. He had been No. 1, but has fallen to No. 2 behind Manny Pacquiao in our latest rankings and received just two of the 30 first-place votes cast."

Kevin Iole rides Mayweathers **** to no end.

It is PERFECTLY fair to say floyd hasnt faced an elite Welterweight before, becuase he HASNT fought an elite Welterweight before.

We THOUGHT Judah was an elite welterweight cause he knocked out Spinks, but we found out it was smoke and mirrors when he was beaten by Baldomir.

Mosley is undeniably the first elite WW Floyd will face in his entire career at the weight. no doubt, perfectly far to say so

still doesn't change the fact that he fought a fighter coming off of a loss.

          again,

The elite WW he fought was coming off of a loss.

exactly. and our thoughts that judah wasnt elite was confirmed by that loss, AND by follow up losses to Cotto and Clottey.

Judah wasnt an elite welterweight, end of story

You do realize Morales was coming of a loss ALL THREE TIMES Pac fought him?

You do realize MAB was coming of a loss the THE SECOND TIME Pac fought him?

Those are the men Pac built his legacy off of. I guess that legacy is in shambles.

Is that the standard for being a elite fighter or Welterweight?
and if you are coming off a loss you can not be elite?

please do not duck this question...

It is fair, its why hindsight is such a good thing.

Judah and Baldomir were never ELITE welterweights, they were some of the top WW at the time but could never be considered elite.
