    Hopkin's jealousy

Hopkins can be full of s**t at times. He’s a legend, no doubt. But he can be a weak-minded human too; subjected to flimsy emotions such as jealousy. He keeps talking about his great legacy, the one he’s looking to jeopardize by fighting on. He calls out Mayweather (who is in no way a saint) during his post-Marquez fight interview. Hopkins was running his big mouth that lies within his big head, egging Shane on, telling him to rain on that man’s parade. Now Hopkins would say he’s no ***** who needs to flaunt his riches and ****…true that. But he is damn jealous of something else; Mayweather’s fame and profile…just like he was when Roy whupped his ass so many years ago. U see, Hopkins never attained the media darling status that has always been attributed to the Superman Jones. And even with all the hate out there, Mayweather’s quite famous, serving as the ultimate villain of boxing. He has a larger profile than Hopkins too. We all know that. So it’s not the money that eats at Hopkins, it’s the famed love (or hate) that his counterparts have, that he will never get. I bet ya, if he leaves the pugilist game now, he’ll be remember by the real boxing fans, but not the casual joes….heck some joes don’t even know of him at this point. But people have heard of Mayweather and Roy Jones. Hopkins is great…but even after all his accomplishments (his shellacking of the younger Pavlik, straight 21 title defenses, impressive wins of other famous legends in Trinidad, DLH), he’s still is not well-known and has no “major league” profile. THAT, bites at him till this day.

P.S. I personally think, losing to Dawson wouldn’t be a bad thing, or be a stain upon his legacy..infact, he would get more props, even if he loses…and if he wins (which is unlikely)…the thing that has been so elusive to him, would be his, and his alone

hopkins always gave floyd a lot of props until recently. It started with floyd talkin **** about hopkins for instigating the shane-floyd drama after marquez and hopkins fired back. that's it.
