I thought Khan beat Barrera quite convincingly by the time it was stopped in the 5th round, although a shame the fight ended the way it did with the cut. That fight was only a year and a half after Barrera went 12 rounds with Pacquiao, and the fight before that he went 12 with Marquez.Comment

No. Quality fights do not matter to British Fans. All they care about if the hometown fighter being a winner. It's all about muscles and marketability in the UK these days.
Personally I think Froch is a **** and have every reason to hate him being that he got a gift over one of my favorite fighters (Dirrell).
Yet I still respect him because he is one of the few old school fighters left in the sport. Froch would rather lose against the best than dominate the also rans like Hatton, Calzaghe and Khan.
Froch came to the US with the idea that he would capture the attention of the US and he has gotten mine. His fights are always excellent and filled with action. He has earned and deserves a measure of respect that Khan has not even approached.I love Amir Khan, and I love Carl Froch. Khan's comments were funny, but to be honest they were made in bad taste. Froch has fought Pascal, Taylor, Dirrell, and Kessler in his past four fights, and in the summer he will be fighting Abraham. Basically his last 5 fights would have been against the elite in his division, and at the worst he will come out of them with a 3-2 record. On the other hand, Khan has fought against 0 elite fighters, with only Kotelnik being a decent, respectable name. Mallignaggi is a good name, but to be honest, he isn't anywhere near as good as Froch's recent list of opponents.
Khan should shut up for a minute and do his talking in the ring. Prove Froch wrong by winning titles and beating the elite in your division, rather than using your mouth to hate on a downed fighter.
Im pretty sure Froch said that the WBA top ten guys (and not the entire 140lb division) were not up to the others but Ill have to check.Comment

Classic? Not really. I thought it was pretty ****in lame.
Froch will go down in history as the first and only British fighter of his generation that fought internationally against tough opponents throughout his prime in an attempt to prove his worth.
Froch's loss to Kessler was one of the most determined losing efforts I have witnessed. Compared to Khan's 20 second humiliation by Prescott that performance by Froch was the Taj Mahal.
Khan's stolen a quote by Prince Naseem Hamed.
I remember when Kevin Kelly approached Hamed after one of his fights and Hamed teased Kelly by saying when he's beats him he'll give him a job putting up Prince Naz posters around NY.Comment
