    Actually the amount of money a boxer generates can be used to measure their greatness. For one the more money you make the more people acknowledge you. Secondly and this is something I think people forget about boxing, if you look at the roots of boxing it's not about people ''proving they're the best'' or anything romantic like that, it's was about them getting their money.

          oscar probably made the most money off boxing and he doesn't even make top 20 in anyone's list.

            the more money someone make from PPV buys the more people purchased the fight. more PPV buys could mean more fans, more haters, more casual fans or the promotional company fixes the buy rate.
