So before I was inclined to believe that Mosley's legs wouldn't be there to help him towards the end of this fight. Simply because I tought Shane will fall into that "PREDATOR ROLE" that most Floyd opponents seem to fall into and he was going to have to chase Floyd.
Now I dont know what to believe about this matchup. But I find myself inclining towards these thoughts Im going to share.
First of all, This fight , because of Floyds personality and his mouth , has turned more personal than it actually was when they both signed. Mosley seems to be bothered about Floyd's comment on his past about steroids and all that. And I think this is where Mosley's versatility comes in and will be the factor to a victory.
I think Mosley has stated and has pointed out several times that he is different from all the rest of Mayweather's opponents. And at least to me that lets me know that he is clear on the fact that he cannot win this fight by just chasing mayweather trying to land desperately.
I think he has set his mind to take this victory anyway he can , and by doing anything in his power. And I think he is pretty ****ing capable of just that.
he has shown us he can box (of course) but he has shown with the marg fight , that he can put u out too at this point of his career. And Marg has a way better chin than Mayweather by far IMO. ( common hes mexican)
So at first I think this will be a boxing match , But \Mosley is going to apply smart pressure on him ( at least he has to) , he will walk forward , and he will analyze what Floyd does. I think he will jab his way into a good rhythm , trying to time Floyd. Then the action will begin. And I think this is the only chance Mosley has of beating Floyd. Floyd has shown he can outcounter the counter puncher , and counter punch the brawler , and counter punch a good boxer in De la Hoya ,yeah he was weight drained and prob way past his prime , but his I.Q is something to watch out for , we all saw how he pressed the fight.
Mosley will box , he will brawl , he will do everything he has to do. Because Floyd at this point , only fights one way. He is not going to pressure Mosley at the beginning , he is not going to stand and trade , he is going to back peddle trying to pick his spots , and Mosley knows this. So Mosley has to apply pressure , and jab jab jab ur way into a good timed rhyth, that way u can adjust to Floyd's fighting style. Floyd said he has a lot of tricks up his sleeve , and I dont doubt it , but I know he will fight on his heels countering.
Mosley can match him with speed , he can outpower him , and he can hurt him. And he is so versatile and so smart that I think he can take Floyd off his comfort zone. And make him fight and catch him with something good.
I am rooting for Mosley just to let you know. I dont hate Floyd I admire him as a fighter. But I want to see his 0 go. Then maybe he will fall of that cloud he lives in and start showing and treating the fans and the sport with some respect.
