the padding is spread out tho. its the cut of the glove. its like reyes glvoes are cut more to be more of a punching glove while winning is more padded feel but they both weigh the same. its the cut of the glove. like MMA gloves weigh less not because they are jus smaller but alot of stuff is cut out for grappling but they serve the same purpose as 8oz boxing gloves.
all gloves feel different when you punch and get hit.

10 oz is the standard size for welterweight gloves in Nevada. As I said before though, I'm sure I remember reading that Floyd had agreed to 8 oz for the Mosley fight and has only used 10 oz twice - against De La Hoya and Hatton.
