  • Hopkins vs Jones PPV numbers... LMFAO

According to a report out by ESPN, the expected final
Pay-Per-view numbers for Bernard Hopkins' decision
victory over Roy Jones Jr., certainly is not looking
impressive. ESPN reports that the final numbers for the
Pay-Per-View event will be somewhere in the
    neighborhood of 135,000 - 145,000 PPV buys.

The highly respected CEO for Oscar De La Hoya's Golden Boy Promotions,
Richard Schaefer confirmed to ESPN that the final TV PPV buys will come in
at "between 135,000 and 145,000 when everything is said and done."
ESPN points out that if those are indeed the final Pay-Per-View numbers,
then Roy Jones Jr., who was to be paid after all the expenses had been
taken care of will not see a single penny for his work. Hopkins was to
receive $3.5 million, but will get nowhere that amount.
So it looks like the fighters may take a serious hit. Had they given this fight
to the fans at least 5 years ago... I am sure things wouldn't have been this
    bad.

They are so dumb. Why would Jones agree to that deal as well? He basically gave up a loss for nothing...pathetic management. They should have fought like 10 years ago.

Get what they deserve for not making this fight in their primes.
