Chris Arreola is now a journeyman/ESPN status fighter

5000 fans is all he could muster in a town right next to his home city?

    Pitiful.

Not to mention he lost pretty much every round to a blown up CW.

    He's done.

I like him as a person, but his tenure as top level talent is over.

actual the sad truth is that not many fighters these days can bring in 5,000 fans, period.

Chris was in a close foght and now hes done. Gotcha.

You act like he got destroyed. He will get big fights again his next fight will be on HBO most likely an Adamek rematch.

maybe it will convince him to slim down a bit so he can turn it up in late rounds.

Adamek would've tripled it in NJ.

He did get destroyed. I gave him 2 or 3 rounds max.

Fight wasn't even close. He got outclassed and outmaneuvered easily.

It was exciting cuz he's got heart and kept trying but Adamek had his way with him.

Arreola got dominated and he admitted it after the fight.

Vitali/Arreola was a SELL OUT at Staples Center in LA. It was the highest rated/most watched HBO fight of 2009.

A lot of Arreola's fans jumped off the bandwagon after he got destroyed by Vitali Klitschko. That's why there was only 5000 fans at the Adamek/Arreola fight.

Exactly. The top talent can still sell.

Fans now should know that Arreola is not top level talent.

He's a tough journeyman w/ decent pop and decent skills. No more, no less.

He belongs on Espn. Not HBo.

see the problem with Arreola to me is that he gets waaaaay too emotional in the ring.

he starts trying to trade but the thing is when you trade with someone faster....well you get tagged.

and he gets really emotional about it then it all falls apart.

but you gotta love the guy for trying

He needs to have his promoter choose an opponent who's easier to hit for his next fight. Minto, Walker, Witherspoon and McCline were perfect...

Someone like Peter, Dimitrenko, or Tua would be winnible and make for an interesting fight.

"Fast" Eddie Chambers, however, would be Arreola's kryptonite.
