this whole thread and the responses it has generated is ridiculous, it's a subjective matter of taste. there is no such thing as an unbiased boxing fan/announcer bc everyone has their own preferences and ideas as to the most effective styles of fights and fighters. Lennox Lewis brings invaluable experience from the ring, his accomplishments alone make his perspective valuable, which can also be said about the accolades of Manny Steward as a world renowned trainer. Larry Merchant and Max Kellerman have, if not affable personalities, the courage to ask questions fighters don't want to hear or respond to (not to mention Larry is hilarious). All that being said, last night's HBO showcase was pretty entertaining and their commentators are terrific. So, BOOOOOO!

Kellerman can be so bad it's sickening sometimes, although he wasn't as awful as usual last night. Lennox is tolerable but rather dumb.

Other commentators/analysts who need to be replaced are Al Bernstein and the very gay Steve Farhood on Showtime, and worst of all, Teddy Atlas on ESPN2.

Has anybody seen their lineup for the next eight weeks. All the big fights are on HBO except Mayweather-Mosley it's on HBO PPV. Hard to complain about that. I was going to order it before next week.
