Of course the Mexicans are the first to talk ****, right after the fight, I suppose Abbies eyes closed by themselfs
They are scared cause he called out DLH.
wihtout question
but mohhamd was landin better shots and more frequent
course its a business
dats why i said i hope he gets and not that he derserves it
but in the end
i odn thtink this helped cotto
against Ndou
he faded in the later rds
agsainst chop chop
he got saved
and now he got lucky abduleave couldnt see n quit
cuz i had him losing
now hes prolly gonna get a "name" more skilled fighter
and i dont think hes ready
and may not ever be
cuz this was suppose to be where he showed he was ready
that dont mean ****
some guys just cut more and bruise more
a face doesnt tell the story of a fight
Hating for sure....Cotto completely outclassed this guy, look at the ****ers face and the punchstats. Abdullaev was ytough and landed a good right hand upstairs that stunned Cotto and a good bodyshot. Cotto was landing great right and left hooks to the body and was firing combinations upstairs even though a good amount of punches were blocked. Cotto would have beaten this guy regardless of his eye get real...
I think Cotto did what he had to do or the only he could do.Like said before brilliant tactical fight. Cotto wasnt landing all his punches but he aiming for the place he could hit which was the forehead and thats what started the swelling.Cotto couldnt of fight this guy any better. Good job Cotto!
This was a fight of attrition, and seems to be turning into Cotto's style. Like Pinto he slowly gained the advantage, though this time the opponent was tougher. The Corley fight was the odd one...it got out of Cotto's control pretty quickly and ended too abruptly for us to figure out what would have really happened had the fight been allowed to continue.
Cotto's still taking too many shots, though. Floyd would have killed him if he fought that way againt him. His handspeed is way better than Abdullaev's and Cotto wouldn't have been able to dodge and block so easily.

Floyd's not going to put that kind of pressure on him though. I thought Cotto was beating this guy to the punch whenever he wanted. I think Cotto would have a lot more time to select his shots against Floyd and would throw more to the body because he wouldn't have to worry about Floyds power so much (unless he got slammed with something he didn't see like agianst Corley).
I agree with you though, Cotto is still taking too many RIGHT HANDS upstairs for his own good. I liked the pace he fought at however against a pretty good pressure fighter though.

I think Mayweather's power is underrated, and didn't show up against Corley because that was his first night at 140. I think that one of Cotto's biggest assets, his handspeed, would be neturalized by Mayweather's speed. But you do make some good points. Before Cotto - Corley I believed that Cotto would be Mayweather's biggest test at that weight class. Though Cotto's flaws have come out more since then I think it would still be a good one.

I think everyones flaws come out at some point, but its good to discover them sooner than later so that you can work on them. I think Cotto's biggest flaw right now is his inability to cope with the right hand upstairs from time to time.
I agree that Floyd can punch at 140. It's not so much his power that makes his punching hard its more of the speed, technique, and accuracy that make the punches crack. The fact that Floyd can throw quick shots that Cotto wouldn't be able to see troubles me, but it could be worked on.
