How come lefties have no power?

    Yeah, I think it's total coincidence. There is nothing that would make a southpaw have any less power than a orthodox. The simple thing is as mentioned, less southpaws than orthodox so the amount of power punchers is slimmer. Jim Lampley actually mentioned about this during the Ledwaba fight with Manny. "There are so many southpaw cuties in the lower weight classes, there aren't that many southpaw punchers with muster, Pacquiao is fun to watch." -Jim Lampley.

      There are less lefties than orthodox boxers. I think it's just a coincidence.

        Right on bro! You hit the nail right in the head with your eyes closed. Ther are so many righties with no power and there are righties whose powers are their left hooks,e.g., Trinidad, Louie Espinosa , et al. The Pacman is now developing his right hook in preparation for JMM.

          that is something to think about. keen observation. i'd like to see it scientifically tested to see if indeed something about the southpaw stance distributes power differently.
