Amir Khan seems to think giving your all in a close, competitive loss against a world class opponent translates to you getting an ass whooping.

To me, getting brutally KO'd in under a minute by someone who has the technique of a demented donkey is more apt for the term.

I wouldn't say Prescott whooped Khan's ass. The fight was over too quickly to call it an ass whooping.

Mayweather vs Gatti, Pacquiao vs De La Hoya, Hopkins vs Trinidad, Calzaghe vs Jones those were as whoopins.

I would have to agree. Khan said he "got his ass whooped" but then left it at that. Froch lost in a close fight, To me that's not getting whooped. Getting whooped is being knocked down twice in 45 seconds.

Im british and I try to support UK fighter but I can't bring myself to support Khan, He is a ****y little ***** who makes no sense in what he says. Also he talks like he is the best but refuses to fight the best.

Khan avoided Maidana like the plague.

Khan obviously realized he made a mistake and that's why he backtracked. He is young and immature but aren't they all. Cut him some slack. I would consider Mayweather/Gatti an ass whooping. Prescott/Khan was just a one shot killing.

I think getting blown out like Khan did was MORE of an ass whooping than Gatti-Mayweather and Margo-Shane etc. The reason is because Khan got hit once and was done for, Ok so he didnt take as much punishment as those guys but at least they stayed in there for a few rounds, Khan got hit like 6-7 times without hitting back and fell to the floor like a sack of ****.

In terms of "ass whooping" I can see what you guys mean.
