Alvarez-Cotto just seems wrong to me...

I think its going to be a lopsided fight, with Alvarez KOing him by the 9th round. Cotto is just too small. Only elite fighters like Mosley and Pacquiao can move up two weight classes and perform at the top of their game. But a B or C class veteran who has spent most of his career at 135 certainly isn't gonna do anything. A victory over Jose Miguel Cotto definitely isn't going to be enough for Alvarez to deserve a title shot. Not even close...He needs to prove himself over a decent WW, such as David Estrada, Luis Carlos Abregu, Delvin Rodriguez, Rafal Jackiewicz, Demetrius Hopkins, etc. Hell I'd even be satisfied if he fought Jesse Feliciano.

EDIT: I am NOT saying he needs to fight these guys right now. I understand that he's only 19. My point is, why rush him into a title shot if he's not going to be fighting any decent WW for a few more years? The last thing we need is another paper champ like Jan Zaveck.

I'm not saying he needs to fight them now. But Golden Boy is trying to rush him into a title shot. That would be ****** when he doesn't even have those guys on his resume.

I'm not saying he should fight them right this second. I'm saying they shouldn't be rushing him into a title shot if he hasn't even fought these guys yet. That would be ******ed. If he needs time to grow, then that's alright with me. But the last thing we need is another paper champ at WW. Jan Zaveck already holds that title high.

He needs to fight different styles first.

When he fought Tyner, A slick fighter, He had a tough time adjusting but he
                    did in the late rounds.

He needs to check the waters out soon if they plan on him facing a berto by next year.
