When I read articles in the build up to this fight from Froch talking about his "silky smooth" boxing skills I honestly thought he was taking the piss, trying to fool the Kessler camp into training for the wrong kind of fight. Appears I was mistaken.

Similar things from Ricky Hatton back in the day, trying to convert to boxing after being a fighter for the majority of his career. Bad mistake. If Froch had of fought the first 9 rounds how he has throughout his career instead of trying to box then he would have had a much better chance. Can't teach an old dog new tricks.

Think Hatton made this mistake, and Froch made the same one tonight. Both became deluded and believed they possessed some kind of quality boxing skills that were never there. A shame really.

I thought Froch didn't put the pressure on like he should have during the middle rounds. The first round were close but I thought Froch used the hook, right hand and jab all better than Kessler. The Dane was landing some good rights to the body and was the aggressor but Froch really worked that jab. Middle rounds Froch just allowed himself to be hit in the head. Came back strong but not enough I guess.

froch is wide open when he misses. you see how often he found himself off-balance and out of position after he tried one his own flurries?? on top of that when he does let his hands go in combination his feet and hands arent coordinated enough. hes almost always off balance when he wings those shots, making them ineffective arm punches.

kessler wouldve made him pay...badly.

froch's whole style is a conundrum becuz he's so uncoordinated with poor balance and technique. there's only so much he can do.

Kessler won the fight hands down, no point arguing about the margins as Froch clearly lost either way. I had it about 8-4 with one round close.
