He spent too much time at range imo, i always said getting inside was froch's key to victory.

other than the odd uppercut. froch is not a good inside fighter. his punches are too wide and long and he doesn know how to set up those long shots with touches and shorter punches

....but the thing is kessler's not a good inside fighter neither.
froch needs to learn how to do a lot of things, but he needs to learn how to go to the body for sure.
kessler's body work (and sharper jab) was what tilted the closer rounds in his favor in my eyes.

The big catch in dedicating your career to protect an 0 you shouldn't have: you fight bums most of your career and when you step up you still need to fool people by fighting corpses or retire early.

froch got some skills,but he needed to back kessler the **** up,let his hands go with straight punches,putting combinations together and tagging kessler to wear him down,was close fight i thought,froch could have done more and put his foot on the gas more and not look for a big punch,when he lets go and hits people with several good shots he has more success for possible knockouts.

his balance isnt great,his defense can be improved and his sharpness and combination of punches can be better,i hope carl gets to work on improving himself to be better for arbraham fight,or just get on it fast and go to take everybody down with relentless attacks.

Nevermind they were entertained tonight in defeat. They enjoyed tonights defeat more than the Dirrel win (Im guessing).
