Not at all. Pac did his part to make it an exciting win. Clottey's the one who lost a lotta respect from boxing fans for not trying to win in an important fight.

boxing fans never did make a buzz for this fight, clottey style is defense it was no suprise that manny won a wide decision. pac maybe lost buzz from casual fans because roach got obsessed with the ko predictions.

lets look in the grey area for a second. pacyow, just the name itself, is big right now. all he has to do is show up and its big, well besides the concert that is lol. anyway, arum is making like 9+ mill at mgm sized places, which seats around 13-15k. if he can make 9M on 15k, how much do you think he can make on 45k in the seats? howszabout 80k in seats? not sure about you, but i'm seeing lots of money------boat loads.
considering the germans and brits have hosted fights in arena's that hold 50k+ for quite some time now, why shouldn't top rank do it too?

manny vs clottey was the test phase. when a product gets released into the marketplace its not always the best version that gets released. look at the iphone, no video until recently. smart play for the developer, not really for the consumer though. anyway, same principle. get manny in there with a guy he can look good against so people will get excited for more big venue cards. in poker its called a sandtrap.
