Comments Thread For: Dimitrenko Will Never Beat Klitschko, Says Sdunek

Fritz Sdunek, trainer of WBC champion Vitali Klitschko, says Alexander Dimitrenko will never be in position to beat his fighter. Dimitrenko recently challenged Klitschko and questioned his decision to fight Albert Sosnowski on May 29 in Gelsenkirchen, Germany.

Dimitrenko may be tall and Ukrainian, but he's FAR less talented than the Klitschkos.

Size is not as important as some people make it out to be, or Marcellus Brown and Julius Long would be HW champions.

Either Vitali or Wlad would win by KO in rounds 1 to 3.

In terms of Ukrainian HW's i'd bet money that Platov and Virchis would destroy Dimitrenko, forget about the Klitschkos.

Hell he might not even get by Mazikin.

Not to mention Tye Fields and Michael Grant.

Dimitrenko is from the part of Ukraine that considers itself Russian, while the Klitschkos are Ukrainian nationalists. No love lost there.

He better listen to his former trainer...
Howhever, Sdunek said a couple of years ago that Dimitrenko has a bigger potential then Klitschkos at his age. Potential - nothing more or less.

Of course he has no chance against Kltischko if he got heavily beaten by Eddie Chambers. He needs to work hard and walk his way to the top without hurry. I am not sure that he will do this right.

Sorry, that not true. Remember what Dimitrenko did to Luan Krasniqi. I think he will destroy Audley Harrison if their European Championship fight will ever happen.

Lets see if Dimitrenko can even beat Harrison. Dimitrenko called out Harrison, is Harrison up for the task?

Unnecessarily harsh. That's like saying Sasha is on a bum level. He'd survive a few more rounds than that, especially because neither brother is a body puncher. TKO6 or thereabouts is more reasonable, realistic and respectful.

I think Dimitrenko has potential, but he needs a major revamping of his style, he needs to develop a good jab and learn to fight tall.

FYI: Fritz Sdunek is one of the best trainers. Trained over 10 world champions.

Yes, there should be no disrespect to Sasha or Fritz Sdunek. Both achieved a lot, and both can not always have luck, as most others in this sport.
