Gonig with paul. He can easily play the jab, jab, jab, jab cross role but chooses to engage for the entire 12 rounds of the fight. It seems like he never tires and what makes it more impressive to me is that he does this in weight classes that range from 147-160. Against smaller and faster fighters at Welterweight and bigger/stronger punchers @ 160. He can take their best punch and still come back with countless punches -
Calzaghe is the biggest man by far on that list. So on that basis as a man who walked around over 200 pounds the fact that he could put his foot on the pedal for 12 rounds to the extent he did was impressive. At the end too, Calzaghe was just a pure volume puncher, he wouldn't have been able to drop a lightweight with a single punch. All the other guys on that list can crack.Comment

i disagree..............weight aint just the sole criteria for........."effective" punch output..................i think power has to one as well........but i do respect your opinionComment

calzaghe or williams. joe because of his weight and williams bcuz of his height, pryor and pacquiao are both smaller men plus they are built for stamina.
pacquiao hasnt really been consistent with it eighter, throwing lots of punches against someone who isnt punching back is easy. williams and calzaghe made a career out of it.Comment

Not the sole criteria no, but when you are fighting bigger and stronger men, with two glass hands and you can throw their game out of the window with odd angles and combination punching, I think I'd give it to Joe. The other guys have fought stronger competition but if we are going to extend Joe's circumstances to the rest, I'd be inclined to pick them too. Joe has the worst deal out of those fighters.Comment
