Hatton wasnt finished, we didnt know about oscar

hatton wasnt washed up before he fought pac,

we didnt know oscar was dehydrated until after the fight

cotto was a legit win and clottey was a big man.. good win

pacquiao beat the best, obviously there is dispute about marquez bouts. they were close fights but pac got the decision and if any one can remember one of the judges scored the first pac fight, round 1 a 10-8 round?

how is that possible when he scored 3 knock downs..??? if he didnt score that, pac would have got another win under his resume

fighters have tough fights in their career and show signs how to beat them..

mayweather had a tough outing with castilo, pac with marquez and even ali with mildenberger..

however, i aint saying thats the way to beat them..

I never understood the "Hatton is finished" **** to be honest. Floyd beat him, but it's not like he took his manhood.

Losing to Mayweather and Pacquiao is nothing to be ashamed of. And imo, doesn't make you washed up.

People say Hatton was washed up because Roach said Hatton was washed up, in fact, he claimed Mayweather ruined Hatton. That and he was coming of a bout where he'd been brutalized by Lazcano.

it's the way he lost to be fair. He was completely destroyed and showed nothing there

no but being wobbled at least twice to former lightweight Juan Lazcano gave us a strong indication that his best days may have been left in the ring Dec 2008

I actually think Hatton showed glimpses of decent performance in the Pac fight, BUT nowhere near as good as in the Mayweather fight, where he looked like he had a point to prove. I think he believed his own hype that he is stronger than Pac and almost got killed for it. That KO was masterful from Pacquiao!

Oscar was a zombie, which does detract from the Pacquiao fight, but Pac had to do his job and looked excellent doing it. His footwork was nice, he never stayed in one place for too long and rained punches on a defenceless DLH.

Cotto I think was the most mentally shot, but also the bravest and had a good first round but after round 5 he went into survival mode.

TBH I didn't want any part of that Clottey fight, just like Emanuel Steward would say "it went just how I expected" Pacquiao keeping Clottey in his shell and Clottey landing the right hand when he bothered to throw it. However, I was surprised at the ease that he hit Pac with the uppercut and was also surprised at how shook Pac made Clottey.

IMO Marquez deserved a victory from one of the 2 fights with Manny.

sometimes you have to go beyond what a record is or who someone lost to really indicate whether a fighter still has some life left in him

Hatton looked like a spent bullet against Juan and were it a harder hitter might have put out El Ricky

to follow your logic, once you get wobbled you're past it, yeah right. it wasnt a pretty fight for hatton, but it was a very wide UD for him too.
