Would Khan vs Alexander make sense next?

Khan mentioned that he'd like to fight the big names at 140 after Malignaggi. Bradley will probably be fighting Ortiz next, assuming he gets by Campbell because the winner becomes his mandatory. Maidana would be out of the picture (assuming Bradley beats him), so who does that leave? Devon Alexander.

So would Khan-Alexander make the most sense from here? Alexander made a huge statement with his KO victory over Urango, and this seems like it would be the toughest fight for both. They are around the same size, both have speed and power, and both can box. Devon has also had a hard time finding an opponent, so he'd jump on this opportunity, especially if it means he'd be one step closer to being the first unified JWW champ in years. A victory for Khan would also shut up the critics, and it would also give him the opportunity to fight Bradley for The Ring championship (somebody knock on their doors and tell them to take Pacquiao off that list, please. He's not fighting at 140).

Why not? Any of the guys in the JWW top 10 facing each other makes sense, especially to unify belts. There's nothing wrong with Khan fighting Paulie as it is. If he wins, Devon is a good choice. But I'd prefer to see Devon fave Bradley first if Tim wins his next fight.

Yup, I definitely think Khan and Bradley are the best two 140 guys. I would bet a hell of a lot on Khan to take out Alexander, no offence but Khan is just way more talented in my opinion. whoever gets to Alex first will get his name on their cv and the belts so Khan better move quick

After that Urango uppercut, Khan isn't facing Alexander. Maybe Bradley, but I'd perfer that anyways, since Alexander already has 2 belts.

Who else is he really gonna fight? Zab Judah (who already said he's not interested)? Mike Alvarado (nobody would respect him for that, not even wazaa). There's nowhere else to go from there. All of the gatekeepers have either moved up or gotten KTFO. Golden Boy isn't gonna build Khan up to be Floyd's next opponent. Its just not possible at this point unless he proves himself by clearing the JWW division, then moving up and beating up Berto.

Lamont Peterson or Kaizer Mabuza would be a reasonable, but not drastic, step up in power for Khan. Khan can't be a reasonable opponent for Floyd without proving himself. But that will take time. Judah or Alexander hit to hard for Khan's peeps at the moment. Maybe after a couple more fights they'll fight guys like that, and if he loses, move him to WW.

It makes a lot of sense but seems unlikely, if Devon would've won by decision against Urango it would've been possible.

I think it would be a decent fight, but not thebest fight that could be made at 140lbs. Bradley beats Maidana imo , then we could see alexander-bradley later this year

I doubt he'd fight Kaizer, but I can definitely see him going after Lamont Peterson I suppose. He's a fairly good prospect who just got outclassed by a much better fighter in Bradley. But would Arum allow that?
