I think Williams takes a decision. i was leaning towards that before the Pavlik-Martinez bout too. but now im more certain. In my eyes Pavlik didnt seem to care enough. he almost looked as if he was bored. i wouldnt be surprised if he retired because he of he didnt have love for the sport anymore :/ and also, i think Williams activity would trouble him just like most other fighters.
Pavlik still has a punchers chance of course!
yeah after the martinez williams fight i was pretty sure that pavlik would win and maybe stop williams but after the pavlik martinez fight im not so sure in my eyes this is a 50/50 fight now
Williams will win IMO by late round(10th) stoppage. Pavlik is too slow and wouldn't avoid all the shots that Paul would bring on that fight. Williams' non-stop action will eventually lead him to hitting and hurting Pavlik on numerous occasions. So I think it'd be a good fight, but a somewhat easy fight for Williams as he wins by ko
Though I had Pavlik beating Williams prior to the Martinez fight, I think I have to still give him a 50/50 shot against Williams simply because Williams isn't as mobile as Martinez to get out of the way of fire. Williams likes to mix it up and he'll sit there and trade which gives Pavlik an easier target to land. I don't think he'd be as reluctant to throw as he was with Martinez who was constantly on the move.
But after a Martinez rematch, Pav could be headed up to 168 (which I don't think he'll fare well with the stock of competition up there now).
