No way this fight last longer then a minute. Either Toney will be taken down immediately or Toney will spark Couture coming in.

When is the fight? I've been waiting forever for James to get back in the ring (square or octagon)...

lmao, no ****. It's embarrassing really, a guy with zero mma experience getting a shot at one of the best mma fighters on ppv.

That's like Lance Armstrong talking **** about Bernard Hopkins, even though he's never boxed, and then getting a shot at Hopkins on PPV in his first ever boxing match.

            Toney needs to wisen up.

Why the hell is he wasting his time doing MMA when really he should be retired.

              Yeah clinch/inside fighting.

In pure Martial Art's there's a lot more though.

              I just mis-understood his post.

I thought he was trying to compare Couture's punching skills to Toney's

I agree Randy would still have a hard time getting far enough inside.

Sure he is, boxing is very diffrent in the octagon than it is in the boxing ring. You have to change you stance and footwork to protect against leg kicks and takedowns which are things that Randy has been doing for decades. You forget that Pro Boxers train to avoid punches and punches only while Randy has been training to avoid everything that gets thrown his way. I would go as far to say that Couture is probably better at using his limited boxing ability in the Octagon than Tony is at using his Master level boxing in the octagon.

It goes without saying that Tony is far and above the better pure boxer, but does he know how to use it in the Octagon. I doubt it!

The thing is Dana doesn't hate boxing in fact he ran a boxing gym in Boston before he bought the UFC. Dana Talks **** about the way the sport is run and how bigfights don't get made so essentialy he talks the same **** about boxing that any normal boxing fan would talk.

You guys take things way out of context to often.

                    i agree with Pistol Whip

boxing in mma is totally different then boxing in a boxing match

your not just getting hit by punches, your getting kicked, kneeed, elbow, etc.

Randy was an Olympic Greco-Roman wrestler, and is one of the top MMA fighters of all-time.....

i doubt Randy will stand with Toney and take him down and Ground and Pound and get a TKO or just dominate Toney with his wrestling abilitiy.......

Toney has a punchers chance that is

thats true, and when him and tito ortiz were gonna fight it was gonna be strictly a boxing match because that is what dana knew.
