Does Allan Green have a chance?

I dont think he'll beat Ward but I was wondering do you guys think he'll have a chance to make ANYTHING happen in this tournament at all? I feel all he has a good right hand but other then that he really isnt that good... Thats just my opinion.

Very possible. He knows he can't outbox Ward, so I'm pretty sure he'll be trying to crack his suspect chin.

I still got Ward by decision though.

Unless Green is planning on trying to knock him out early on, he has no chance. Ward is going to tear him a new one. Any betters?

I think he does have a chance for two reasons. One he's a wildcard. He hasn't fought since last year (his last two fights were meaningless against simms and de leon). And although he looked lackluster against Simms I think he can turn it on when it really counts.

Second reason I think he has a chance is that he's mentally tough. I don't think that he'll allow Ward to rough him up in the clinches or allow Ward to have one free hand to hit his side or head. And I think if he connects with his left hook or right upper cut (imo his best punches) he can stun and Ward enough to eke out a decision.

He has got a punchers chance, Green has the kind of power that can turn a fight around no matter how bad it is for him.....kind of like AA.

              yes fight like a mofo

              get rough on the inside

try to time uppercuts when Ward falls/lunges in to grab.

Its doable and hes got the power to change a fight with one punch.

Green has a punchers chance, but not more. He might be a leading contender to get a ride with the supersix, but he has been a disappointment. His biggest fight to date was Edison Miranda.

Of course he does. He can bomb anyne out.

Please, sog is nice but people need to relax. Dirrel's win v Abe was way better than sog's win vs a kessler who hAsn't looked even decent in a fight since joecal.

Dirrel is the fighter of the tourney to me. He improved so much from his decent victory over froch (Freudian slip) to when he put it on abraham (most dangerous fighter in tourney).
