I think Bute is the best, because he combines slick skills (well, a white guy type of slick anyway) with deceptively crushing power which can be delivered from a variety of crafty angles. I love the way he can sneak in that uppercut/upperhook from out of nowhere and put the hurt on his man.

But do explain, Tuns, as to why you choose to so childishly refer to Dirrell and Ward by derogatory nicknames (just because you dislike them), whilst everyone else gets their real ones mentioned? However, the winner of the Super Six will most likely have a better resume than him, especially if they go undefeated.

I pick Bute.

He has become champion beating the champion, unlike Froch who grabbed a title that had been vacated, and Kessler the last time (Sartison).

He has made 5 successful defenses, all in dominating fashion, stopping 4 opponents. His only shaky moment came in the last round of his first encounter with Andrade, as everybody knows. Froch has had 2 defenses, he was dominated by Taylor and embarrassed by Dirrell. Saturday, he will get ko'ed and lose his title.

Bute is undefeated, and has better names on his resume than Dirrell, Froch, Ward, at least. Names : Bika, Berrio, Andrade, Miranda, Zuniga and Joppy.

Bute is no 1 until the winner of the Super Six faces him.

I could add that the Ring magazine considers him the best SMW in the world.

He beat Jean Pascall in a box off for the title, I think in some cases winning a vacant title is as good as beating the champ.

Other times it isn't, Cloud V Woods and Alexander V Witter are obvious examples of young up and comers being matched against faded fighters to ensure victory

Between Ward and Bute. Dirrell looked pretty good against 5'9" Abraham, but he loses to these two.

Funny how the same people who argued that Kessler wasn't the best in the division before he fought Ward, argued that he was at the time he lost to Andre.

If Froch gets by Kessler, he might be the best on paper, but I still think he lost, albeit not by as great a margin as some seem to think, to Dirrell.

I'd have to agree. Toss up between Ward and Bute. I have to lean toward Ward though as I think he would win a decision over Bute.

Lame? Now now, Tuns. There's no need to shroud the truth with a veil of biased tripe. Your true colours are on show for all to see, so why not just elaborate on something legit when questioned? It's your poll, after all. You've expressed a clearly biased opinion with regards to Dirrell and Ward, so surely you'd expect to be queried on that. This is a forum, and people ask questions.

And as for crying about your posts, I haven't even felt the need to respond to your tripe for a good while (besides asking you as to why you haven't bothered to update your rig yet, or your ridiculous comments in the Jan Zaveck topic I made).

Plus, I've never had any need to venture into the Thunderdome so don't bother to include me in this whole "stalker" mentality you've set around yourself. I only come here to discuss boxing.

ward was impressive against kessler, but ward's punching isn't as clean as bute's is imho, but we gotta see more of bute.

Good point. Pascal is one hell of a fighter, and Froch did win without controversy, but to be honest, Pascal fought the wrong fight that night, and I think he beats him up in a rematch.
