Carl here's a tip.

Before u go into the shop, take the chain of your bike, that way they have to waste valuable seconds putting it back on, in which time u can get out of the shop and stop them, or they have to run along side the bike, which would mean u should be able to catch them.

Or buy a bike lock. They're only a few quid.
