Comments Thread For: Froch vs Abraham: Carl Eyes City Ground as Venue

WBC super middleweight champion Carl Froch faces Arthur Abraham in the third stage of Showtime's Super Six Boxing Classic. The round-robin tournament will have Froch fighting Abraham on the tentative date of August 21. Froch says the fight was going to land in the Nottingham Arena but they feel the venue is not big enough. They believe the fight can bring around 30,000 fans to the City Ground. Do it!!! I would love the fight to be at the city ground, however Nottingham at 11pm outside is cold man, and lets be honest being August doesnt make the chance of it raining less lol

I think Froch needs to beat Kessler though to create enough hype for the city ground to be the venue for Froch-Abraham as he's still be a champion defending his title against the most dangerous opponent in the Super Six.

August Bank Holiday can sometimes end up being one of the hottest weekends of the summer but yeah as always in Britain there is an equal chance of rain. If this happens the earlier they make it in August the better.

Froch ain't no Julio César Chávez. There is no way in hell he would ever fill up a stadium of that size, ever.

I think Froch needs to concentrate on Kessler first. He's overlooking that and already venue shopping for Abraham. If he loses to Kessler, I don't think even Nottingham arena will get filled up.

carl froch will sadly win against mikkel kessler but abraham might wear him out and knock him out if he is not careful but he has a very good chance of being in the finals
