  • Mayweather $40m Shane $15 million

These are the figures floating about for this fight. What if shane beats floyd and Floyd triggers the rematch clause?

Whats likely to happen in the rematch as in money wise? This is an honest qustion as much as i have Shane on my sig i am just interested to know.

Nothing changes, for Mosley Mayweather would still be the biggest fight and he will still get less money. All that is drafted in the contract already so that wont be a problem

Surely the gap in purses would close due to the previous fight?

          he will.

he'll settle for a smaller discrepancy but floyd will still get paid more.

it'll be like if clottey had beat pacquiao.

in the rematch pacquiao will still make more but the difference between the two will be less than the 1st bout.

i've seen 6M as the number for mosley quoted in an article. I have not seen any for Mayweather, except for this. Are these numbers close, 40M and 15M?

This is nowhere near the same as if Clottey had beaten Pacquiao. Mosley is a much bigger name/draw than Clottey is. If Mosley were to win, the gap will definitely close.

6M is the guaranteed amount. The rest is from the % share of PPV and gate.

I wonder if mosley can demand for parity if he wins.

60% to 40%. If Mosley wins by decision. If Mosley wins by KO 50/50. Just because Pac would be savilating at the mouth to fight Shane. Shane would give May some step aside $ and Mosley vs Pac will happen at 50/50. Only IF
